My eldest girl has been diagnosed with HFMD. I knew this would happen. With her school having children infected by it and not forgetting the children in my school who were infected by it. I might be the cause of it, bringing the germs around.
Oh well.. The only thing I can do now is to sterilize everything. I was told to keep the younger girl away from the sister so as not to be infected. I think there is no point in doing so because the window period started on Sunday. My younger girl is now a carrier of HFMD.
I have already called A'isyah's school to inform them of her case. A'isyah will be away for 1 week. I have to bring her back for review to certify her fit for school next week.
I have also called 'Aliyah's teacher to inform her that she will be away from school, too. It is socially irresponsible of me to continue sending 'Aliyah to school when she could be infecting the other children as well. The teacher agreed with me.
As for me, I have called in my school and spoke to the principal. She believes that I should be away, too. I totally agreed with her. I will be taking 4 days of no pay leave to nurse my girl. In this way, I will not be passing the germs to the children in school. The sacrifice I have to make is nothing compared to the pain my girl is having... :(
