English Course

My English course began today. It was a move by the MOE to upgrade the preschool teachers. They would like us to speak good standard English and not Singlish.

The course is quite fun and light-hearted besides the examinations that we have to sit for somewhere in June. The lecturer, Susan, is very fun. I think, being a young lecturer plays an important part of the course. The course can be either dull and boring or an interesting one that we look forward to. The other participants come from different kindergartens across the island.

The only setback is that the venue is too far from where I reside. I put up in the eastern part and the course venue is at the western part of Singapore. The classes will be at night once the school term resumes next week. That means, I'll be away from my girls for almost a whole day. That is one reason why I don't like courses. By the time I'm home, the girls will be in bed... sigh...
