It's been a month since my 2.5 year old, Nurin 'Aliyah, attended playgroup with the Apple Tree. It took her 3 weeks to adjust to school life. She cried and played tug-of-war with my mother or hubby during those 3 weeks. She would then be carried by her teacher, Teacher Abigail, or helper, Aunt Helen.
I've always told my mother and hubby to just let her go and don't look back. I mean, it's cruel but she just have to learn to adapt to school. With us around, it's going to make it difficult for the teacher to handle her. As hard as it looked, my mother and hubby began to let go. True enough, she learnt to get along with her teacher.
Now, she loves and looks forward to school. She has started singing the songs that she learnt in school. She has also began to immitate her teacher. It's a good sight to see her becoming the teacher instructing her students.
