Engagement/Wedding Favours & My Mother's Birthday

Today was a very busy day for me. I had to attend 2 engagement ceremonies and both were important and dear to me and family.1 was my cousin's son, Firdaus, and the other was my hubby's cousin, Benny.

It's a tradition to exchange gifts and food between the "bride" and "groom". As a gift from me, I baked them cupcakes and eclairs to be given to the "brides" sides. I was very satisfied with the product and was happiest when it was very well received by the recipients. Here's wishing Firdaus & Watini and Benny & Fizah all the best in their engagement and may this relationship lasts and brings you to the next step, insyaAllah.... Amin.

Today was also my mother's birthday. She's 56. We celebrated her birthday at night. After the ceremonies, we drove off to Orchard Road and saw the lighting. It was magnificently beautiful. Then we stopped by at Takashimaya where my sister and I bought her a present. We got her a Longchamp handbag. She was taken aback and didn't expect us to buy her a present. We also had snacks at KFC. I could say that it's very boring but that was the only food chain closest to us and it was already pass 9pm.

We ended the night by visiting my cousin and his family who were in town and putting up at the Royal Plaza on Scotts. It's a pity that I didn't capture any pictures of my mother and her present. Nonetheless, I was glad that she was happy and liked her present. May you grow old gracefully and be at the pink of health always and I love you, Mother!
