Eid's Gathering

Today my 5 year old went to school feeling very excited. Her school had a Perjumpaan Hari Raya or Eid's Gathering in school today. So the children had to come to school dressed in their Eid's clothings. Since the school that my daughter attends is a mosque based school, the girls had to put on their hejab while the boys their songkok.

They also brought Eid's goodies from home to be shared among their friends and teachers. My girl brought her favourite tapak kuda cake(it's a white and brown layered cake that's sandwiched an has nutella chocolate spread in between) that I personally baked. I also pre-packed ketupats made from ribbons and filled it up with sweets for her friends to bring home... She couldn't wait to go to school...

When she returned home from school, she called me just to tell me that all her friends ate the cake and they liked it as much as her... Oh my... I could feel her happiness... How little things could brighten up a child's day!
