Shopping/Food Spree

It's the 10th day of Ramadhan. My 5 year old has been fasting since the 1st day, Alhamdulillah.. She had a little trouble adjusting to hunger and thirst on the 1st day but 2nd day onwards, she managed to endure the test. She's very cool and calm and nobody would believe the fact that she actually fast the whole day... THUMBS UP, girl, and GOOD JOB!!! You'll definitely be a good role model for your little sis... Love ya lots...

Yesterday, my girls, my hubby and I went shopping for the girls stuff for Hari Raya. Went to Suntec City and it was crowded as its the weekend. Had a quick dinner cum breaking of fast at KFC and continued our shopping. Bought the girls "Mary Jane" shoes, black for A'isyah and dark blue for 'Aliyah. I've always liked black "MJ" shoes for my girls. I've bought them all kinds of "MJ" black shoes with different patterns. I still can't bring myself to let my 5 year old put on heeled slip-ons, which she has been bugging me to buy for her. I just feel that heeled slip-ons should be reserved for when they're adults or at least young adults. I just want to enjoy dolling up my girls according to their age. Sometimes I wish I could prolonged their childhood... Don't grow too fast, girls.... I'll miss these sweet moments....

Along the way, there was a Nike sale at the atrium. Deviated from the original plan, I bought myself a Nike tote with the excuse that the tote is useful especially when we go for our swimming trips. My hubby just smiled... Haven't got a chance to look for my shoes yet... hmmmm... Nowadays, since I got married, everything's about the girls. I think it's the common thing once you become parents. Always putting the girls needs first and ours the last and sometimes, we even forget about our needs... How lucky my girls are....

After Suntec, we headed for Geylang Serai. It's the must place to visit during the Ramadhan here. Our main reason there was to look for food and more food. We bought vadeh (they're hot from the wok!!), special meat burgers, dendeng and sotong stuffed youtiao.... Oh my... My tummy rumbles with the mere mention of these food... Nonetheless, I don't think I'll be there again anytime soon as it's awfully crowded with people, cars, uurghhhh.... Perhaps another visit nearing the end of Ramadhan just to enjoy these "occasional" food again..... YUMMMMM..... After all that, we came home at about 1 am... Dragged ourselves to change into our pjs and then straight to slumberland; our girls satisfied with their new shoes and our tummy satisfied with all that delicious food...
